ABOUT US
Kabuchai Special School is a public primary school located in West Nalondo, Kabuchai Constituency, Bungoma County, Kenya. Established to provide education for deaf and hearing-impaired learners, the school plays a critical role in serving children with special needs in the region.
The institution has been recognized for its academic performance, consistently achieving strong results in the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examinations. It operates under the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) and is registered with the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC).
In July 2024, the school received support from various organizations, including Friends of Watotot Kenya, Jali Dada, Water Step, Woman for Woman, and Nyunjas Foundation for the Boy. During the visit, the school received donations of food and sanitary pads, alongside a financial boost. The community director of Friends of Watotot Kenya also pledged to advocate for the construction of additional classrooms and dormitories to address the school’s infrastructure challenges.
